Classroom Technology

Instructor Computer

To login to the instructor station you can use the default account by hitting enter on the keyboard, or you can log in using your HCC Login credentials by selecting "Other User" located in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. If the default account is not shown on the screen, please restart the computer. 

Please do not save files on the instructor station. User profiles are regularly wiped from the computer and any saved information will be lost. 

USB ports are located on the front of the instructor computer and on the left side of the instructor station monitors. 

AV Control Systems

The celing projector and classroom speakers are controlled by the AV panel mounted on the left side of the instructor lecturn. 

  • To raise or lower the projector screen, use the arrow buttons labeled 'Screen' on the AV control panel. 
  • To display content from the Instructor Computer, select the input labeled 'PC'. 
  • To display content from your connected device, seleect the input labled 'Lap'.

Connect Your Own Device

You can connect your laptop or tablet using the VGA connection provided at the instructor station. Once you have connected your device, select the input labeled 'Lap' on the AV control panel. If you need an adapter or are not sure if you can connect your device, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request.
