Classroom Technology

Instructor Computer

The power button for the instructor computer is located on the lower right side of the display. 

To login to the instructor station you can use the default account by hitting enter on the keyboard, or you can log in using your HCC Login credentials by selecting "Other User" located in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. If the default account is not shown on the screen, please restart the computer. 

Please do not save files on the instructor station. User profiles are regularly wiped from the computer and any saved information will be lost. 

USB ports are located on the front of the instructor computer and on the left side of the instructor station monitors. 

AV Control System (Projector Patrol)

The projector is controlled though the Projector Patrol software found on the instructor station. The instructions below show how to use the Projector Patrol software.

Projector Patrol

  1. To begin using the projector, click on the Projector Patrol icon located on the instructor desktop.


      2. Click the ‘ON (Timer)’ button on the Projector Patrol window (A), this will open a new window labeled Set Projector Timer.

      3. On the Set Projector Timer window, select how long you would like the projector to remain on. You will have the option to turn the projector off early if necessary.

      4. To power off the projector, click the ‘Off’ button (B).

      5. The amount of time left on the projector will be displayed on the bar to the right (C).


                                   


Presentation Remote

The presentation remote can be used with PowerPoint and other presentation software to advance slideshow presentations.

Specialty Hardware/Software

This classroom has DMXIS software and hardware installed for the theater lighting program.
