Classroom Technology
Instructor Computer
This classroom has Apple iMac computers installed with MacOS 11.
The power button for the instuctor computer is on back left corner of the device.
A USB CD/DVD drive is installed on this computer, as well as an SD card reader.Â
To login to the instructor station please use your HCC Login Credentials. If you are unable to login with your HCC Credentials, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. Please indicate if you would like immediate assistance, and a technician will respond to the classroom to assist you.Â
Please do not save files on the instructor station. User profiles are regularly wiped from the computer and any saved information will be lost.Â
AV Control Systems
The audio and projector settings, as well as document cameras and cameras where installed, are controlled by Crestron touch panel located on or near the instructor desk. If you are experiencing issues with the audio, projection, or the control panel please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. Please indicate if you would like immediate assistance, and a technician will respond to the classroom to assist you.Â
Displaying Video
The Home screen on the touch panel provides a list of sources that are available in the classroom. These sources will vary based on classroom type. A sample image below shows available sources and destinations.Â

Controlling Audio
The system volume can be adjusted by following the instructions below:
1. Press Room Speakers to play sound from a selected source.Â
2. Check the volume in the computer and the video presented. In the Crestron Touch Screen, press Volume Up to increase the volume, and Volume Down to decrease the volume. To mute the speakers press Volume Mute.Â
Document Camera
The instructions below cover using the document camera to display content on the projection system. If you have any issues with the document camera or would like to request a document camera for your classroom please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. Please indicate if you would like immediate assistance, and a technician will respond to the classroom to assist you.Â
Displaying Content on the Projectors or other room displaysÂ
1. Press the document camera button on the Crestron Touch Screen.
2. Press the desired projector.
3. Press Go.
Presentation Remote
This classroom has a presentation remote installed for use with the instructor comptuer. The remote can be used with PowerPoint and other presentation software to advance presentation slides.Â
If you are experiencing issues with a classroom presentation remote or would like to request a remote for your classroom, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request.Â
Connect Your Own Device
You can connect your laptop or tablet using the HDMI cord provided at the instructor station. Once you have connected your device, select either the HDMI source option on the Crestron touch panel. If you need an adapter or are not sure if you can connect your device, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request.
