Classroom Technology
Instructor Computer
To login to the instructor station you can use the default account by hitting enter on the keyboard, or you can log in using your HCC Login credentials by selecting "Other User" located in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. If the default account is not shown on the screen, please restart the computer.
USB ports are located on the front of the instructor computer and on the left side of the instructor station monitor.
Please do not save files on the instructor station. User profiles are regularly wiped from the computer and any saved information will be lost.
AV Control Systems
If you are experiencing issues with the audio, projection, or the control panel please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. Please indicate if you would like immediate assistance, and a technician will respond to the classroom to assist you.
To use the AV control system:
The projector and classroom speaker are controlled through the AV control panel mounted on the left corner of the instructor lectern. The projector screen will be automatically lowered and raised when the projector is powered on or off.
Tap the power button on the touch panel in the bottom right corner
Select which source you would like to display from, and tap the icon
Far left icon: “PC” - Instructor’s station computer
Middle icon: Laptop (make sure to plug in your device to the provided HDMI cord)
Far right icon: “DOC CAM“ - Document camera (make sure to turn the document camera on first)

Presentation Remote
This classroom has a presentation remote installed for use with the instructor computer. The remote can be used with PowerPoint and other presentation software to advance presentation slides.
If you are experiencing issues with a classroom presentation remote or would like to request a remote for your classroom, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request.
Connect Your Own Device
You can connect your laptop or tablet using the HDMI cord provided at the instructor station. Once you have connected your device, select either the “Laptop” icon on the Crestron touch panel. If you need an adapter or are unsure if you can connect your device, please get in touch with the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. three or using this link to create a service request.
