Laptop Cart and Cherwell Procedures

Notification of Request more than 24 hours ahead of time:

  1. Laptop cart reservations must be entered into Cherwell 24 business hours (Monday-Friday) ahead of the delivery time.
  2. When entering a laptop cart reservation in Cherwell, please verify in HCC Adstra that the reservation is in the correct room and time, if not, please contact the requester to correct the issue(s).
  3. Make the reservation for the entire class period.
  4. Please schedule reservations 10 minutes apart to allow for delivery of the cart.
  5. If there is a reservation cancellation the day of a delivery please contact Student Computer Support.
  6. Do not book the laptop cart more than 4 hours back to back for battery life purposes. 
  7. If the request has multiple days/times, please make a new ticket for each reservation.

Notification of Request less than 24 hours ahead of time:

  1. Call the SCS ER line where the delivery is requested.
  2. When you speak to the SCS tech, ask if it's possible to make the delivery.
    1. If YES, create the Cherwell ticket for the delivery and assign it to SCS Desktop. Make sure you write the name of the tech that you spoke to in the ticket.
    2. If NO, email the requester that "insert verbage here"
