MLC Softphone Audio Setup

(question)  Should you have any questions or concerns with the instructions, please notify the Technology Service Center for assistance. 

Step 1

Double click the "MLC" icon on your desktop.

Step 2

Click on the "Gear" icon at the top right of the MLC window.

Step 3

Towards the bottom click “Audio Settings”.

Step 4

Click the refresh icon next to “Ringing Device” and “Audio Device”.

Ringing Device – When receiving a call the ringtone will play on the chosen device. We recommend using your laptops speakers. On most laptops this will be “Speakers/Headphones Realtek”.

Audio Device – When on an active call the microphone and voice will be heard from the chosen device.

Step 5

Click on the dropdown next to “Ringing Device” and select your desired device.

Step 6

Click on the dropdown next to “Audio Device” and select your desired device.

Step 7

Click on the “Save” button then click on “Yes” to confirm.

Step 8

Click on the “Save” button at the bottom right of the main settings page then click “Yes” to confirm.

Step 9

If you receive a message “Override?” click “Always Yes”.

Step 10

You have successfully set up your audio settings.
