Microsoft Teams Transferring Ownership

Team owners are responsible for all aspects of maintaining the team members and content. In the event of a change in ownership, the team owner should follow these steps.t

Step 1

To make a member an owner of a team, go to the teams list and select the team name.  Then select the more option tab (it'll have the three dots) and then select "Manage team".

Step 2

In the list of team members, click on the down arrow next to a name and change "Member" to "Owner"

Step 3

If the team is temporary, it should be deleted from Microsoft Teams. Make sure to delete or save any files before.

Step 4

Make a Technology Service Center request to have the team deleted when the work is complete.
