Saving Files to your HCC OneDrive

Step 1

Click the "File" button.

Step 2

Click the "Save As" button.

Step 3

Select the "OneDrive - Howard Community College" option. This will allow you to save the file to your HCC OneDrive cloud based storage location.

Saving Giles to your Local Computer

Step 1

Click the "File" button.

Step 2

Click the "Save As" button.

Step 3

Click the "This PC" option. This will save your file to your local computer instead of your OneDrive.

Changing the Default Save Location

This setting can only be changed on personal devices and HCC laptops. This setting cannot be changed on HCC office computers.

Step 1

Click the "File" button.

Step 2

Click the "Options" button.

Step 3

Click the "Save" tab.

Step 4

If you want to have your files AutoSave to OneDrive, select the checkbox next to the "AutoSave OneDrive and SharePoint Online files by default on Word" option.

If you want to have your files save to the computer by default, select the checkbox next to the "Save to Computer by default" option.
