Summary

Tasks by Planner and Todo is a Microsoft Teams application that merged the tasks list from Todo with the tasks for Microsoft Planner into a single interface.

This interface is limited in behavior compared to the full Web interface, with limitaitons such as being unable to assign tasks inside a ToDo list.

Accessing

Currently Planner is in a limited pilot phase, the app will only show up for the members of the pilot.

1. Open Microsoft Teams
2. On the left side of Teams, click on the the "..." at the bottom
   
3. Click on Tasks, which will look like the below to open it
   
4. In order to keep the Tasks icon on the left, right click on it and select "Pin"
   
5. Within Tasks there are two sections, the "My Tasks" section for individuals plans and the "Shared Plans" section for Plans as part of a Microsoft Team
   You can see I have a test list below that I've shared with individuals, and a "Meeting Outcomes"  shared plan inside the "SCS" Team that is shared with all members of the Team.
   For this we will focus on the Planner/Shared Plans section.
   
6. Under Assigned to Me, you will see both tasks and shared plans where a task is assigned to you
   
7. Select a Plan inside a Team by clicking on the Plan next to the checkbox icon
   
   
   
8. The below interface will open, allowing you to see the tasks
   
9. In the top right, click "Board" to switch to a more organized "Board" view
   The experience in this pane will be very similar to the Planner web interface including creating new buckets, assigning tasks, commenting on tasks, tagging, etc
   
   
   
   1. You can open a task by clicking on the title of the task, such as the text "Example" in the above.
      Allowing you to perform additional actions on the task.
      
   2. In the top right there is a ...
      If you click this you can get a link to the task for you to send to members of the Team, it will open this specific Task for them in Teams when the open the link.
      
10. As you switch back and forth between chats and "Tasks by Planner and ToDo" it will remember where you were including the Bucket view for Shared Plans
