KC130 Digital Signage

To update the Digital Signage on the KC130 Digital Signage computer you will need to do the following:

1. Have a PowerPoint Presentation created with all the slides you wish to have on a loop

• Open the PowerPoint Document

• If you have a Enable editing warning at the top click enable editing

• If your slides don’t have transitions or you have saved this from another program go to the Transitions tab at the top of the PowerPoint application.

• Then go to the timing section on the right hand side and click the checkbox “After:” and then insert the time in (Minutes:seconds.miliseconds) you want for the length of time for the slide to be viewed.

• Then go to the slideshow tab at the top

• Go to the setup slide show button in the setup section

• In the dialog window which appears you want to click Loop continuously until ‘ESC’ this will allow the slideshow to play continuously.

Lastly we are going to save this PowerPoint as a PowerPoint show so it can be played by the script on the computer without needing to open the editor.

1. Go to File

2. Save As

3. Select where you want to save the file

4. Name the File: KC-130

5. Then select the file type as PowerPoint Show or .ppsx

6. Then save

Next copy the file .ppsx file to a flash drive and insert that flash drive into the USB extender cable located under the reception TV in KC130, the cable is slightly to the right of the center of the TV.

Open

Next get the Keyboard and Mouse from the cabinet and copy the .ppsx file from the flash drive to C:/Slideshow

Once the file has been copied you can safely remove the flash drive and restart the computer, after the computer reboots the slideshow you loaded will play within about 1 minute of login.
