To faciliate online and remote teaching session, HyFlex camera and microphones have been installed in a number of classrooms and conference rooms on campus. This equipment can be used to record lectures for posting on Canvas, or for live remote teaching sessions. Instructions for connecting to the camera and controlling the settings through the Crestron touch panel are located below.

HyFlex Controls

The HyFlex camera and microphone system is controlled through the Crestron touch panel located at the instructor desk or conferene room podium.

Camera Conrols

Touch the Camera Control icon on the AV touch panel to control the camera.


The camera can be adjusted using the arrow controls or the camera presets. 

Microphone Controls

The microphone settings can be accessed by pressing the Volume Control button on the touch panel. 

The classroom and conference room microphones are configured to record the whole classroom and conference room. To mute microphones in the student area of a classroom, select 'Mute Ceiling Mics' from the volume controls on the AV touch panel. 


Troubleshooting

The most common issue with the HyFlex camera and microphone setup is selecting the correct input/output. The for both the camera and microphone, the input should be the EasyIP Mixer option, shown below in Canvas and Zoom. For the room speakers, the output should also be set to the EasyIP Mixer option.
