Classroom Technology
Instructor Computer
To log in to the instructor station, you can use the default account by hitting enter on the keyboard. You can log in using your HCC Login credentials by selecting "Other User," located in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Please restart the computer if the default account is not shown on the screen.
Please do not save files on the instructor station. User profiles are regularly wiped from the computer, and any saved information will be lost.
USB ports are located on the front of the instructor's computer and the left side of the instructor station monitors.
AV Control System (Crestron)
The audio and projector settings, document cameras, and cameras where installed are controlled by a Crestron touch panel on or near the instructor's desk. If you are experiencing issues with the audio, projection, or the control panel, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. Please indicate if you would like immediate assistance, and a technician will respond to the classroom to assist you.
Displaying Video
The Home screen on the touch panel provides a list of sources that are available in the classroom. These sources will vary based on classroom type. A sample image below shows available sources and destinations.

- Select your destination
- Press 'Go'
Controlling Audio
The system volume can be adjusted by following the instructions below:
1. Press Room Speakers to play sound from a selected source.
2. Check the volume in the computer and the video presented. In the Crestron Touch Screen, press Volume Up to increase the volume, and Volume Down to decrease the volume. To mute the speakers press Volume Mute.
Document Camera
Document cameras are installed at the instructor station in most SET classrooms. The instructions below cover using the document camera to display content on the projection system. If you have any issues with the document camera or would like to request a document camera for your classroom please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. Please indicate if you would like immediate assistance, and a technician will respond to the classroom to assist you.
Displaying Content on the Projectors or other room displays
1. Press the document camera button on the Crestron Touch Screen.
2. Press the desired projector.
3. Press Go.
Laptop Cart

Unlocking the Laptop Cart
1. Input the combination. Numbers must line up in the middle of the lock (highlighted in red) as shown.
2. Push up on the lock AND then pull back on the lock. You should hear a Click.
3. Remove the lock from handle, Twist the handle clockwise.
Presentation Remote
Most SET classroom are equipped with Kensington presentation remotes to be used with PowerPoint presentations. The remote can navigate through PowerPoint presentation slides, control the computer mouse, and has a built in laser pointer.
The presentation remote can be powered on using the switch on the left side. When the remote is on the buttons should light up slightly.

Connect Your Own Device
You can connect your laptop or tablet using the HDMI or VGA cord provided at the instructor station. Once you have connected your device, select either the VGA or HDMI source option on the Crestron touch panel.
