Download Windows 10
Click "Sign in"
- Sign in with your howardcc email and password
- Review and accept the end user license agreement
- You may need to do this twice
- Open Software on the left side
Search for 'Windows 10"
Scroll down and find a "Windows 10".
Click on the blue link, a dialog will pop up on the right side of the browser- Click View Key, it will load a key. Save this for later
- Save the product key for later.
If you lose it you will be able to get it by coming back to this page - Click on Download
It will download an ISO
- Wait for it to finish downloading
- Save the product key for later.
Install VMware Fusion
VMware Fusion allows you to run Windows in the background at the same time as OSX. This is compared to Bootcamp which required you reboot to switch between Windows and OSX.
- Open https://phpmysql.howardcc.edu/Kivuto
- Click on the "Open Store" button under VMware
- Login with your HCC ID
- Select "VMWare Fusion 11"
- Click "Add to Cart"
- Click "Check out"
- Record the serial number in red
- Click Download
- Click "Download" again
- Click on the "Open Store" button under VMware
- Open the downloaded file
- Double click on the installer
- Click "Open" on the warning
- Enter in an administrative password if required
- Click "Open Security Preferences"
- Click the lock in the bottom left to unlock the page
- Click the "Allow" at the bottom
- You can close the "Security and Privacy" page
- Read the EULA and if you agree, click the "Agree" button
- Enter in your license key and click "Continue"
- Enter your Administrative password
- Click "Done"
- When you launch "VMware Fusion"
- Click the dialog to allow access to accessibility (May not appear)
- Click the lock in the bottom left to allow changes
- Check the box next to VMware fusion under Accessibility
- Scroll down to select "Automation" and check the box for System Events under VMware Fusion Applications Menu
- Click the lock again to save
- install the update
- Wait for the updates to finish downloading
- Click "Install and Relaunch" and it will begin updating
- You will need to enter your Administrative login to update
- Double click on the installer
- VMWare Fusion is now installed
Install Windows 10 on VMware Fusion
- Open VMware Fusion if it isn't already open
- Open Launchpad (Rocket Ship in the bottom left), the scroll to find the Blue and Red Square for VMware Fusion
- Open Launchpad (Rocket Ship in the bottom left), the scroll to find the Blue and Red Square for VMware Fusion
- Click the top option "Install from Disk or Image"
- Open Downloads and drag the Windows 10 ISO you downloaded from DevTools for Teaching onto the screen
- You can also find it in Downloads in Finder

- It should show up like below, click Continue
- Enter in the name you want for your account
A password for the account
Enter in the product key from Devtools for Teaching for Windows 10
Select Windows 10 Education - Select "More Seamless" to allow Windows to Access your Mac documents, remember to update Windows too now!
You can also choose more isolated which will keep Windows from accessing your Mac documents, you'll need to use OneDrive, Google Drive, or Canvas on Windows to get documents to Windows. - Click finish
- Click Save
- If you see an error after installing, you'll need to reboot.
- After reboot you can open VMware Fusion again from Launchpad
- If you see an error after installing, you'll need to reboot.
- Click the play button to start Windows 10 if it doesn't start automatically.
- It will install windows automatically, wait for it finish
- Login when it is done
- If you see this screen just click on it twice to hide the cover window
- It may prompt you to allow access to several folders, Click OK to allow
- One you login you'll see this screen, click OK to log out
- Then log back in
- If you see this screen just click on it twice to hide the cover window
- Open Downloads and drag the Windows 10 ISO you downloaded from DevTools for Teaching onto the screen
