Classroom Technology

Instructor Computer

To login to the instructor station you can use the default account by hitting enter on the keyboard, or you can log in using your HCC Login credentials by selecting "Other User" located in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. If the default account is not shown on the screen, please restart the computer. 

Please do not save files on the instructor station. User profiles are regularly wiped from the computer and any saved information will be lost. 

USB ports are located left side of the instructor station display. 


Classroom

Document Camera

The document camera can be used to display documents on the classroom projector. Please see the instructions below to use the document camera. If you are experiencing issues with the document camera, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. Please indicate if you would like immediate assistance, and a technician will respond to the classroom to assist you. 

  • Power on the document camera is on using the power button on the device (Pictured below). 

                

  • Power on the projector using the AV control panel (shown below). 
  • Select the input labeled 'Doc Cam' on the AV control panel. 

 


Presentation Remote

The presentation remote can navigate through PowerPoint presentation slides, control the computer mouse, and has a built in laser pointer. 

The presentation remote can be powered on using the switch on the left side. 

If you are experiencing issues with a classroom presentation remote or would like to request a remote for your classroom, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. 

Connect Your Own Device

You can connect your laptop or tablet using the VGA cord provided at the instructor station. Once you have connected your device, select the 'Lap' option on the AV control panel (shown below). If you need an adapter or are not sure if you can connect your device, please contact the Technology Service Center by calling (443) 518-4444 ext. 3, or by using this link to create a service request. Please indicate if you would like immediate assistance, and a technician will respond to the classroom to assist you.
